She doesn’t know what has become of her brother or her pack so you kind of go through Wolfsbane only getting information from characters like Ansel when they are re-introduced. When we meet Calla in Wolfsbane, she doesn’t know what is going on in the outside world. Treachery was just pure awesome….just I like I knew it would be! ***Spoilers if you haven’t read Wolfsbane*** Overall, I would recommend this to people who have read both Nightshade and Wolfsbane, and for anyone who wants to know what exactly happened when Calla run away with Shay (aka The Douchebag Master). You really feel Ansel's pain and by the end of this, you just want to give him a hug! Even though he's having dreaded nightmares over and over again, he still didn't forget about Bryn and we get a glimpse of just how much he really loves her. I couldn't blame him, this poor kid was the most tortured out of all of them (besides Ren but.) and if I was in his position, I would betray that whore Calla as well. It's told in Ansel's point of view (SPOILER) and we understand why he chose to betray his sister, Calla. This tells the story of the events that we unfortunately didn't get to see just after the events in Nightshade and during Wolfsbane. The pack mates - Ansel and Bryn, Mason and Nev, Dax and Fey, Sabine and Cosette and obviously REN. This short and quick novella reminded me just how much I love the secondary characters.
